Thesis statement

The internet is a place where we get a lot of information. We find new things by reading the news and browsing the comments. We find people from different places, different aspects of our community. We read about others’ struggles and problems and human deaths. Our smartphones can connect us to the world through Skype and Instant Messaging.

Social networking is an internet phenomenon. A platform where users have conversations with each other. Online, we share love and support and also information and news. Through our social media, we can communicate with friends and family members. For instance, Facebook enables users to connect and share updates on different events, discover new events, and find events that will interest them. Twitter is also another example of how the internet uses social media. It allows users to make tweets or messages about events and experiences. These latest topics are shared on Twitter.

My dilemma was on posting content. On this website, I have a lot of content but the facility to post content is limited. One of the few articles I did find was posted by the president of the United States. Through the internet, the president has already released the 100th post of his birthday and by exploring different websites, I found some other interesting posts. Additionally, I read the news release of the army on the situation in Gaza. This article in the news release also had links to various websites so that it would be more interesting.

The news release also has some other interesting information like the saying of the congress and also the agriculture section. The information in these websites is more appealing to viewers than the content of a simple daily bulletin. It is an opportunity for people to search for different opinions and information related to a particular issue affecting them.

Approach

The content of the news release was more attractive and had more interesting information and pictures. I thought the way of publishing the news release was a bit offensive to the public. In the United States of America, the president of the country gets more media coverage than the prime minister of other countries. The media also cover a lot of other activities. If the content of the news release hurts the public, society as a whole could not find the content appealing. This reasoning shows that a negative impact is possible for this news release.

This approach gives me an insight into what is possible. Content to me is going to be quality if the subject matter is interesting and affecting society at large. This social networking website is very popular with almost everyone in society. It has its subscribers worldwide. After a critical examination of the content of the news release, it gives me hope that it has a social network site that can enable me to connect to people from all over the world in a major way.

I decided to go ahead and post the content of the news release. I posted a link to the news release and another link to the site containing the contents. For anyone who has been following the news release, I will be able to get updated information. Through the website, the user will have a chance to find out more about the news release by browsing the topics in the topics list. For instance, the users of the website will be able to find out more about the news release of the army also their website by searching the issues which will be relevant to them. My target is to connect to about 2500 people from different countries and see how many people responded to the news release. I have set a target of posting the content sometime between December and January.
